A young man tries to relax by dropping a tab of acid and finds himself having fun with a friendly mechanical spider. Or so he thinks.

After our collaboration on Souvenir in 2022 Francesco Elia asked me and our great friend Riccardo to join him on this project as co-director. It’s a simple short film made to show Francesco’s abilities with CGI and Lorenzo’s cinematography as kind of a demo for their creative collective with the same name, The Nook. The production was really interesting, building a room from the ground up in an empty (and very cold) stage, taking into consideration angles with something that wasn’t there yet, all in a short three days shoot. There wasn’t even a real theme to the story and of course, since drugs are involves, everyone told us it was obviously a cautionary tale about drug abuse. It really wasn’t.
